I don't know what to say about this...just when the Western world has got smoking somewhat under control, look at this little Chinese kid, smoking like a pro.

ReplyDeleteHej Ulrica! Roligt att du har äntligen gett dig till känna, krävdes nåt chockerande eller hur?! ;-) Yes, this kid really looks like a miniature Al Capone. I've seen a few boys (always boys of course) smoke here in China, 10-11 year olds trying to act tough, usually in the Tobacco Province of China - Yunnan. In 1986 I sat in a small family restaurant in Lijiang and watched astounded how a father proudly handed his 7-8 year old a cigarette and glass of baijiu (kinesisk brännvin). The mother proudly looked on as the son rose to the occasion and polished off both. Seemed like they were celebrating some rite of passage...I almost fell off my chair, I was so shocked. Didn't have the courage or Chinese in those days to force my opinion unfortunately.
