People bicycle in a cool way in Chengdu: they stand up on the package carrier, even children either holding their parents around the neck or with a rope wrapped around their bum and then around the shoulders of the driver. I've never seen it done in this fashion or on this scale anywhere else in China. Both the driver and the passenger always seem to have a lot of fun too, giggly and chatting all the way. It's uniquely Chengdu.
I saw this somewhere, but this's first time that girls and bicycle all look good... now it looks like a sport...
ReplyDeleteTks mr Li! I remembering as early as 1985 in Chengdu being fascinated by people on bicycles like this. At that time I saw only children with their parents, today lot's of young people too, how could you NOT see this? But they don't cycle on the big roads only smaller streets. I like the color-coordination of these girls. ;-)
